Reincarnations

Stockholms Improvisationsteater happily introduces our special guest improvisor, teacher and format creator Balasree (Bala) Viswanathan! April 12 we get the opportunity to share stage with Bala and perform her format ”Reincarnations” together.

“Reincarnations” is an improv format that delves into the previous ‘lives’ or ‘births’ of various people, animals and things, and explores the meandering path that these particular collections of molecules have taken to attain their current form. Inspired by the narrative storytelling technique of Indian epics the Katha Sarit Sagar – The Ocean of Stories authored by Somadeva, seemingly unrelated stories will weave in and out of each other, forming a tapestry of intertwined stories, featuring unexpected twists arising from curses and boons. “Reincarnations” examines the popular belief of rebirth in an improvised format, inviting the audience to watch an exciting performance that reminds us – every ending is just another beginning.
